The Best Homemade Guacamole

Seriously, when does Guacamole NOT impress?  When you have it at a party or get together everybody is around that bowl! (just hoping that they all get enough).

Guacamole is so easy, even a Lazy Girl can throw it together and be the party hero.

It only takes a couple of ingredients (no need for a package of processed guac mix) and there you go.  Throw in a bag of yummy tortilla chips and you have an instant hit.

The Best Homemade Guacamole- Serves 8-10

  • 5 ripe avocados, skinned, pitted and chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 red onion diced finely
  • The juice of 1 lime
  • 2 large Roma Tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tsp finely chopped cilantro (more if you like)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  1. Add all ingredients to a large bowl and toss together for a chunky Guacamole.
  2. For a smoother mix, add avocado and smash to desired consistency and then add all other ingredients and stir with a spoon.
  3. Serve with chips or veggies immediately.
  4. If you need to store for a short time, cover the dip with plastic wrap and press the wrap down on top of the guacamole to prevent the air from hitting it.

  1. Definitely the best homemade guacamole I have ever had! Thank you for the great recipe!

  2. awww.. thanks!! Glad you liked it!
